This snowy owl, captured in flight, was hand drawn in January 2017 using special water soluble colour pencils called watercolour pencils.
Using a combination of techniques this piece has literally been painted with pencils. I draw and apply the pencil with water, naturally blending together the intricate details of a pencil illustration with the vibrancy of a painting and the softness of watercolour washes.
A high resolution scan been made of the piece to produce prints, on archival textured fine art paper, of this beautiful bird of prey.
